English Department

In Secondary School, in the English area, students are divided into levels, taking into account their interests and knowledge of the English language. Students have 10 hours of English classes per week, which are divided into 6 formal hours and 4 workshop hours. In the formal classes students make distinct kinds of activities which help them acquire all the necessary abilities to use the language appropriately.

During workshops, students have a number of subjects: “Business English”, “Literature”, “Information Technology”, “Arts”, “Pet Preparation” and “FC preparation”. These workshops involve different ways of conveying meaning and foster the use of the language as an instrument, in a relaxed and pleasant environment.

Our students are provided with the possibility of sitting for National and International exams. In the early years of Secondary School, they can sit for the “CLE” exams (English Language Certificate) which are granted by the Ciudad de Buenos Aires Government. In the advanced years of Secondary School, students are presented with the possibility of sitting for the International Exams: “Pet” and “FC (First Certificate), granted by the University of Cambridge.

This will allow them to master the language in a diverse number of situations and, as a consequence, they will broaden their horizons and will be presented with ample opportunities in the future.
